Not physically, but spiritually...
I don't want to get into too many sordid details but there is a man, who is a traditional Catholic, that I have become somewhat attached to against my will. It is beyond my own will at this point so it must be God's will in some way, shape, or form. The short story is I worked for this man a year ago. I am renting the house my family is living in from this guy. He says he cannot afford it anymore and has recently put it up for sale. I have accepted another job offer from this guy because there is a prospect of buying this house outright if I do so. However, after fighting sleep for a few hours now, with my precious son who I almost lost on my shoulder (ETA: I don't mean this as a tear jerker, just putting it in my perspective), I get this gut wrenching feeling that this whole situation I've described above pales in comparison to the big picture. This fellow has a daughter who is living in sin. And every time I think of this whole situation between him and me, she comes to my mind. So I ask for your prayers on three levels. Number one is that this whole situation ends up to where my family and I may finally find some stability. Number two is that if God wills me to help this man that I may find both the courage and wisdom to do so. And finally number three, prayers for his daughter that she may find the right path in spite of her father.

1). Don't worry too much about the house selling. The real estate market in your area is completely shot and he'd have to sell for a lot less than he thinks he does, IF he sells to someone else.
2). St. Joseph guide, St. Joseph guide. 3). Sometimes God puts us in situations to see if we are going to choose our own comfort, or extricate ourselves from them. Has this relationship been a good thing for you and your family? That's all I'm going to say, at the risk of being uncharitable due to knowing who you are talking about.

Some days are better than others. As for me personally, lets just say that I have my penance for Lent worked out.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like your mother. All I was trying to say is that getting into business/real estate relationships with friends or family usually turns into a mess, and shouldn't be done without lots of St. Joseph consultation.

I didn't take it that way.
And to be honest, I'd rather work for the guy than rent from him if at all possible.

Add another intention, if you would. I've found another house, that in the end that I think would be better for my family. Better location, more land, more room for home schooling, just better overall. It is a bit of a fixer upper, but honestly that is probably better for me as well.
So, the prayer intention would be for my family to end up in the best place we can for our current situation...

The fixer upper was a little bit to much of a fixer upper. Not much I can do about buckled floor joists.
However, I've found another one which would be much better for us in the same (or less) price range. Excellent for a growing family. Your prayers if you would ![]() ETA: We will be starting a novena to St. Joseph tomorrow morning.
